Attention 4th Graders! You have the option of buying a new, translucent recorder this year! They come in 4 colors--purple, blue, green & red. Order forms can be found in the music room, and the orders are due by Wednesday, October 28th. They are $6 each. We will start playing soon, so you must either have your 3rd grade recorder (white Yamaha) or a new one. You may purchase more than one, if you like! :)

My 5th & 6th Grade classes are learning the folk song, "Rocky Mountain," on xylophones and metallophones. We reviewed proper playing technique and how to accompany the song.
How does music matter to you? My 3rd-6th grade students wrote down a reason why music matters to them, and we shared them at Open House last night. What a great way to share the different ways that music matters to us.
